Services for Parents
Parenting Support
For quiet nagging questions, in-your-face problems and everything in-between.
Parent sessions are meant to help you find clarity and develop family-specific strategies to help everyone thrive.
Therapy for Adults as Parents
Sometimes the support you need isn’t about how to parent — it’s about how to be a person while parenting.
Therapy for parents offers space for you to focus on your own emotional wellbeing, identity, relationships, stress, perfectionism, overwhelm, life transitions, or the many ways parenthood can reshape how you see yourself and the world around you.
You don’t have to come with a “parenting problem.” This is therapy for the whole person you are (with an understanding that parenting is one meaningful part of your life, but not the only one).

Many parents come because they want to respond to their child(ren) from a place of information and developmentally appropriate strategies for some of the following challenges:
Frequent emotional outbursts or frustration
Anxiety, worry, or sensitivity
Difficulty with transitions or flexibility
Perfectionism or fear of making mistakes
Low frustration tolerance
Difficulty calming down independently
Separation challenges
Friendship struggles
Prosocial skills
Difficulty reading social cues
Social anxiety or withdrawal
Building confidence and resilience
Some families come specifically because their child has a diagnoses or characteristics of neurodivergence. We are neuro-affirming and passionate about helping children, and their families, understand neurodivergence, develop individualized strategies for everyone in the family to thrive, and be a teammate and a champion for your child’s supports and needs in their family, their community, and their school settings.

Yes! It is not rare for the adult(s) to begin with parent sessions and then we decide along the way that the child would benefit from coming for their own sessions (the reverse also happens). We are always flexible and navigate these decisions as a team.

Try not to stress over this. It can feel a little messy at first so just start with a phone call and we will talk it through. We operate with the understanding that there is always nuance when working with humans (and we love that!) and we’ll figure out what service to begin with.
