What do Parent Insight Sessions look like?

Virtual parent coaching sessions are 60 minutes or 90 minutes. Sessions can take place on a secure video platform or in-person at our offices in DC and Takoma Park, MD, or the comfort of your own home or office.

90 minute sessions are best as stand-alone appointments.

During sessions, we work together to understand your child’s temperament, emotional needs, developmental stage, and the challenges they may be experiencing—or the questions you have. We explore the “why” behind behaviors and develop practical, individualized strategies to support and understand your child more effectively. The goal is for parents to gain clarity about their child and receive actionable steps to help their child thrive.

Parent sessions typically includes:

  • Understanding your child’s emotional and developmental profile

  • Learning how to respond to anxiety, frustration, or emotional outbursts, as well as negative self-talk, limiting thoughts and beliefs, low mood or emotional withdrawal, and perfectionistic tendencies

  • Building skills that strengthen emotional regulation and resilience

  • Supporting confidence, independence, and flexibility

  • Improving daily routines, transitions, and family dynamics

  • Guidance on supporting your child’s nutrition and eating behaviors, ensuring that nutrition is optimized to support stable energy and mood, and fine tuned for special needs, necessary diets, selective eating, and difficult mealtimes

Most families benefit from an initial series of 3–6 60-minute sessions, which provides time to understand patterns, implement strategies, and observe meaningful changes. Some families then schedule occasional “touch up” sessions as children grow, enter new developmental stages, or face new challenges. 90 minute sessions can be a great starting place for a comprehensive session, or as a stand-alone session.

Virtual sessions also allow parents to ask questions in real time and receive support that can be immediately applied in everyday situations.

Sessions are considered out-of-network and are $225 per session. Superbills can be provided.
